Married at Brookland Valley Estate, Margaret River

This winery is fast becoming one of my favourite venues for a wedding function. Not only do they have rolling lawns aside a bubbling brook, there’s the world-class Flutes restaurant on site, and countless (stunning) photo opportunities.
Take this pic for example, taken by Russell Ord, and utilising the old groupy house at the entrance to the estate. It was featured in another wedding I did recently, so it’s worth seeing it from another angle and photographer’s perspective.
Lisa and John’s Day
I was totally rapt to receive Lisa and John’s thank you letter two days after their ceremony. Deep down I knew they were always going to have the most magical day…
Despite heavy downpours and conducting the wedding rehearsal under a marquee sodden with rain, Lisa remained optimistic and upbeat. She had surrounded herself with true wedding professionals, after all, including a Celebrant who has the proud record of never being rained out!
Other professionals included:
- the crackerjack photography team Russell Ord and Jean Paul Horre,
- Nola Gaebler (Lifestyle Margaret River) driving her fully restored Classic 1955 S1 Bentley,
- Mel and Jamie’s (waterproof!) marquee adorned with silks (Cape Marquees),
- Flutes‘ Chef Proprietor Francois Morvan waiting with his crew to wow the guests at the reception following the ceremony.
And, of course, they were surrounded by family and friends who were truly delighted to be a part of their day. There was a smile on every face as this couple, so deserving of happiness, said, “I do.”
