Testimonials

In the 18 months that I’ve been a Civil Marriage Celebrant, I’ve met so many lovely couples and families. I can honestly say that I love every couple I work with, and that every time I receive a testimonial that echoes my sentiment for them, I get tears in my eyes.

Here are some testimonials from just some of my beautiful couples:

Justine, Steve (and James) Dale

Anita conducted our wedding at Home Valley Station in the stunning, but remote East Kimberley in June 2009. She ensured right from the beginning that it would be a magical event to remember. She guided us through the legal requirements and provided us with beautiful inspirations for our wedding ceremony and vows.

We were keen to have a meaningful, individual ceremony and Anita was great in encouraging and supporting us in this.

She went out of her way so we could hold our ceremony in our dream location and ensured that our day was relaxed and fun, while still being magical and intimate… she even helped us out in solving the problem we had in arranging a photographer in such a remote location!! Thank you so much Anita, it was a day we’ll always remember!”

Rachel and Ashley Druce

After eleven years together and our decision to elope, we chose Anita from her photo on her website and when we met for coffee four days later found that she has a persona as beautiful as her photo. Within an hour we had set the date, booked the venue and went home to look through Anita’s ceremony pack that night. It included ideas, suggestions, poems and prayers and we had the best time going through it deciding how we wanted our special ceremony to be! It was so easy and so enjoyable to plan and after posting it back and emailing Anita once to clarify something, that was it!

We drove down to Margaret River four weeks later and checked in at the River’esque Chalet. To think that through Anita’s suggestion over coffee, this venue turned out to be so perfect for us (how did she know?!)

The luxurious, Balinese style chalet with fresh flowers everywhere was like a fairy tale and the fabulous owner was delighted to not only be one of our witnesses but also to read one of our choices of prayers. Our favourite pieces of music played as we were wed and Anita’s husband stepped in as camera man, photographer and 2nd witness!

Anita’s attention to every detail made our ceremony exactly as we had dreamed. Her genuine compassion flowed throughout and yes, we all cried!

After eleven years together and after our wedding, a friend commented on “hope a piece of paper doesn’t change anything between you” and after mulling this over we decided it had changed things and we did in fact feel different… our relationship is now complete; we are ‘one’ now and as Anita said: “All your joys in life will be doubled and all your sorrows will be halved”.

Tess and Trent Jackson

Anita, Thank you for all that you did for us on our wedding day. We were so pleased to have shared our special day with you. We had the most wonderful day.Thank you for all of the work you put into creating our ceremony, it was fantastic. You gave us ample freedom to design a ceremony which was very personal and special. It was everything we could ever imagine… except Tess crying the whole way through, that was a shock for everyone.

Our friends and family just loved the ceremony. We believe it set the mood for what continued to be the most wonderful evening also. Thank you again and we can’t praise your services enough it was fabulous!
