Bespoke micro weddings Margaret River — I’m creating a new style of elopement wedding… I’ve heard over and over that a big wedding is overly stressful that doesn’t necessarily suit everyone. So I’m responding with a new concept — the BESPOKE micro wedding!

A bespoke micro wedding is like normal wedding, but smaller, tailored to suit you, and without all the headaches. It’s like having a beautiful, magical and perfect ceremony, but all the organising is done for you.

How it works…

  1. You tell me your ceremony goals
  2. I arrange the venue, the ceremony, the photography and details, so…
  3. … all you have to do is look gorgeous and turn up!

Micro weddings make it super easy for couples to get the big wedding feel, without the big wedding price tag. Packages start from a teensy $1950.

Being bespoke (“made for a particular customer or user”) — you get to choose the date to suit you!

  • Design: You get concierge service to help plan accommodation, photography, celebration lunch, and other details that will make your day next level amazing and memorable.
  • Celebrant: Anita Revel, described as modern, light-hearted and genuine;
  • Ceremony: Tailor-written in accordance with your theme;
  • Styling: Circular arbor, bench seating (for 9 people), signing table;
  • Venue*: By the private forest on a family farm in Cowaramup;
  • Permit: I have booked the venue on your behalf — no extra paperwork required;
  • Guests: Up to 10 guests or thereabouts (more are welcome at the 4pm time slot);
  • Witnesses if you don’t have your own.

* Weather permitting — a new location will be advised if it’s raining.
* You do have the option to choose your own Celebrant but you may be subject to extra fees.


Real Life Bespoke Pop-Up Wedding:

So, this couple asked me to create a micro wedding, just for them.

They wanted a simple, private beach ceremony, with a rustic arbor, some boho touches, and enough cushions for 8 guests.

And then, up the other end of the beach, as a surprise for their guests…
they asked me to organise a super lush, super romantic picnic lunch.

There was cake, champagne, cheeses, treats and other delightful eats, flowers and fronds, and amazingly, REAL crystal glasses!

They described their day as “perfect, relaxed, personal, intimate and beautiful”.

So good!

  • Accommodation in Cowaramup. I am also the curator and host of two unique accommodation options on our farm in Cowaramup. These book out weeks in advance, so do prioritise your booking if either of these properties appeal to you —

    • the Settlers Rest off-grid eco-aligned cottage that sleeps four people, and is popular with guests seeking to unplug, relax, and re-charge.
  • Hair and Make-Up. Many HMU artists are happy to travel to you to shwizz up the glam factor in your accommodation.
  • Photographer. I have relationships with many many talented photographers with a range of styles and packages. We are happy to arrange a quote for you if you let us know:
    • Preferred style (eg vintage, candid, landscape, colour-rich, drone etc)
    • How long you’d like them for (eg ceremony only, post-ceremony scenes, all day etc)

Q:  I’m in! How do I book?
A:  
Simply choose the date/venue combo that appeals, and contact me via yesidoweddings (at) gmail.com Make your micro wedding booking via the booking form above, using the date/location and preferred time slot in your narrative. Tell me as much as you can about what you hope to your day to be, and I’ll respond with a quote to achieve your ceremony goals.

Q:  Can it really be as simple as to turn up?
A:  Yes! You need to lodge your NOIM form with me at least one calendar month prior. Meet me in person, send it by email or snail-mail, fax it, or even MMS it! Just get it to me one calendar month before your wedding day. The rest is about ticking a box for the suppliers / services you want included. That’s it!

Q:  How many guests can we have?
A:  The space will be set up for a maximum of 10 guests. (Of course we have some flexibility around this, but extra costs may apply depending on the venue.)

Q:  What are the legal requirements?
A:   Just like any regular marriage ceremony, you will need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage form with Anita, the Celebrant. Anita will also need to sight your original birth certificates (or passports), and if you were married before, evidence of how that last marriage ended. On the wedding day itself, you also need two witnesses to sign the register, over the age of 18 and that speak English. (Note, we can provide witnesses if you’re eloping).

Q:  How long does a pop-up wedding go for?
A:   Each of our couples enjoy an hour each which is made up of a 20 minute ceremony, and an additional 30 minutes of photography. You are then free to go and celebrate your union at any of the stunning wineries, family-friendly breweries, or world-class eateries in the region.

Q:  Can we Facetime our wedding so our relatives can watch it around the world?
A:  Yes! You can Skype it, Glider it, Instagram it, tweet itFacebook it… Whatever your app, I’m happy for you to record / share your ceremony in any way you like.
