Multi-Day Elopement Experience | Cowaramup

Destination Elopement Experience
Stay :: Play :: Love

Calling all couples who want a simple destination elopement style wedding for just the two of you… (And maybe a couple of friends!)

For an elopement experience you’ll never forget, consider this unique DESTINATION ELOPEMENT EXPERIENCE!

It involves:

  • two-nights accommodation in an off-grid cottage,
  • an epic car,
  • a private Chauffeur,
  • a photographer and digital images, and
  • a cruisey Celebrant… oh,
  • and big-hearted, slow-living, earth-vibing couples!

Kendra Benson captured these sweet, post-ceremony moments at the
Settlers Rest off-grid cottage in Cowaramup.

What is a Destination Elopement Experience?

Arrive at your eco-aligned accommodation: Settlers Rest Margaret River. It’s an off-grid cottage on a farm in Cowaramup, and offers a device-free immersion into a simpler way of being, with a piano, fireplace, and pastoral views to the forest.

(It has two bedrooms, so you can bring two of your besties to celebrate with!)

After an amazing night’s sleep, and a slow morning rising with the sun, your private chauffeur will pick you up from the cottage. You will drive to your ceremony location (beach, garden or forest — you choose!), where one of Margaret River’s most popular Celebrants, Anita Revel, will get you hitched.

After some happy snaps post-ceremony, meander your way through your pre-planned tour agenda, before arriving at your preferred long-lunch location.

Your private chauffeur will wait for you to enjoy your first meal as newlyweds, before dropping you home to your accommodation again.

Spend the rest of the evening toasting the sunset and counting the stars. What a beautiful way to herald in the next chapter of your lives!

If this experience concept makes your heart sing, get in touch with your preferred date, location and ideal car… I will pull together the best people and places to create a magical day.

Cars we’ve used in the past

Mr Mustang Hire — This vintage wedding car is a premier example of the legendary 1960’s Ford Mustang muscle car. For the car enthusiasts, it is a 1965 Mustang two door, five seat hardtop coupe, and is powered by the world’s best sounding 289 V8′. For the photography enthusiasts, she has a beautiful Tahoe Turquiose Metallic paintwork with a white interior.

Küste Kombis — Minty is a 1968 Kombi, described by Cam as “our good time gal”. She seats 7 people in comfort, and has a beautiful cream interior that looks real smooth in wedding photos. Recommended top speed is around 90kph, so your day is a 100% immersion into relaxing whimsy.

Down South Luxury Limousines — Choose from Pewter Silver H2 Hummer, or silver ’57 Chevy — both have enough room to bring some friends along! DSLL take great pride in their cars and you can be assured they will be immaculate on the day. Their drivers will not only drive you around but also anything else that can be done to make sure your day is extra special. They are all fun loving people who are quick with a joke and always have a smile on their faces.

FAQ about having a destination elopement experience

Q:  Is it as simple as turning up?
A:  Yes! You need to lodge your NOIM form with me at least one calendar month prior, but that’s the only limitation with regards to “time”.

Q:  How many guests can we have?
A:  This will depend on the capacity of the car you choose. The cottage sleeps up to four people.

Q:  What are the legal requirements?
A:   Just like any regular marriage ceremony, you will need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage form with Anita, at least a calendar month out from your wedding day. I will let you know the rest with my “Next Steps” information.

A: It should be fine, but some wineries charge an extra fee for this. We will work with you to negotiate venue hire if applicable.

Q: We just want to do a commitment ceremony / vow renewal — is there a discount?
A: For ceremonies involving no legalities, I offer a $200 discount.

A: Depending on the age of the children, that’s OK. Many vehicles are not licensed to carry passengers under the age of 7.
