Here are some wedding FAQs we have heard over the last 15 years…
Q: Is it as simple as turning up?
A: For small weddings, yes! You need to lodge your NOIM form with me at least one calendar month prior, but that’s the only limitation with regards to “time”. For larger weddings, a rehearsal may help settle your nerves and take some pressure off.
Q: How many guests can we have?
A: For elopements, two witnesses can attend as guests (babes in arms are welcome extras). For larger weddings, you can have as many guests as the venue will allow!
Q: What are the legal requirements?
A: You will need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage form with Anita, at least a calendar month out from your wedding day. I will let you know the rest with my “Next Steps” information.
Q: Is it accessible for wheelchairs, the elderly etc?
A: Depends on the venue.
Q: How long does a wedding go for?
A: Generally ceremonies are 30 minutes long, depending on how tailored you make it, how many readings you include, how many people are involved, what logistics need to be considered, etc.
Q: This date of a scheduled event doesn’t suit — can we do it another time?
A: Sure thing. I can create a Quickie Wedding Day or bespoke pop-up-wedding around you! Simply get in touch with your preferred date and time and let’s make this happen. Alternatively, consider an elopement package and have your choice of location, venue, styling and so on.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: If the couple cancels their booking, any fees paid are not refundable. Ceremony portion of fees can be applied to a future service provided by Anita. If the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control (eg Covid-19), the event may be re-scheduled once. A new booking fee applies if it needs to be re-booked a third time. If the Celebrant cancels, a replacement Celebrant will be provided.
