I often get asked, “Where’s the best beach to get married in Margaret River?”, or “I want to have my photos in a forest — where should I go?” (and a thousand variations of the question re locations for a Margaret River wedding. Here’s a collection of reviews of locations I’ve had the pleasure of conducting wedding ceremonies at.

I have been a Celebrant Margaret River region since 2008, and in that time have seen the depth and breadth of the best wedding venues the region has to offer.

It could be argued that I’ve seen more of this region than my husband, who is a born-and-bred Cowaramupian! (Cowaramuppet?)

It is my pleasure to share some of my experiences with you here, in the hope that you’ll consider Margaret River for your wedding ceremony.

Need a Celebrant Yallingup? Contact Anita Revel for a light-hearted ceremony, large, small or elopement size!

Contrary to popular opinion, Yallingup does not mean “Place Of Love”. I’ve presented a few wedding ceremonies in Yallingup, where Josh Whiteland (Koomal Dreaming) has conducted a Welcome to Country for the guests. According to Josh, Yallingup means Place of Caves.

But for the romantic amongst us, it’s easy to understand why the general perception is that it’s a “Place of Love” — because it’s so ridiculously beautiful one can’t help but feel all loved up once there!

Cape Leeuwin wedding Margaret River voted “Top 10 Ocean Views” (National Geographic)

When Alex and Amanda decided to have their wedding Margaret River, they wanted something small yet spectacular… So, they exchanged vows at the top of the Cape Leeuwin lighthouse in Augusta. (See more ways to elope in Margaret River here)

And why not?! With its panoramic 360 degree view of the Indian and Southern Oceans colliding, the area is nothing short of spectacular — in fact, it has since been included in the world’s “Top 10 Ocean Views” by National Geographic.

The Margaret River wine region, located three hours south of Perth, Western Australia, is renowned around the world for its stunning surf and snorkel beaches, sweeping parks and spectacular forests, fabulous food producers and above all, premium wine.

Anita was simply fantastic!
She was easy and wonderful to deal with in the planning stages and gave us lots of options and ideas for the ceremony and then truly customized to make it a truly unique ceremony for us. Then on the day her calm and relaxed style, character and genuine caring nature was just so ideal for us and our family.
